Terms of Service
Last updated:
These terms are an agreement between you and [Operator legal name] ("we", "us"), which operates Singular: the web app at singular.impossibuild.ai and the API at api.impossi.build (together, the "Service"). By creating an account, adding credit or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these terms. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.
If you use the Service on behalf of a company or other organization, you accept these terms for it and confirm that you are allowed to do so.
Who can use Singular
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher, and allowed to use the Service under the laws that apply to you.
Without an account you can try one guest prompt in the web app, and you can buy API credit on the API's top-up page (api.impossi.build/topup), which gives you an API key holding that credit. The rest of the web app, such as saved threads, Spaces, Studio and Settings, needs an account.
Your account
Sign-in is handled by our authentication provider. Keep your sign-in method secure and your account details accurate. You are responsible for everything done through your account and its API keys.
You can delete your account at any time in Settings > Profile. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone; see Refunds below for what happens to remaining credit.
What the Service does
Singular gives you one place, and one API, to use AI models from many model makers. Each request is carried out by the model providers and infrastructure providers that run the model you chose, or the model Auto picked for you.
Models, features and rates change. A model can be added, changed or withdrawn at any time, and features that the documentation marks as Limited or Deployment gated may be incomplete. We do not promise that any particular model or feature will stay available.
Credit, pricing and payment
- Singular runs on prepaid credit in US dollars. There is no subscription, seat fee or monthly fee.
- A new account created directly on Singular receives a one-time free credit of $1.50. Free credit has no cash value.
- You add credit through the hosted checkout of our payment processor. A top-up of your account is between $5 and $500, and the API's top-up page offers fixed amounts from $5 to $100. Reseller wallet top-ups follow the reseller program's own limits. Credit is added once the processor confirms the payment; a payment that is still pending adds nothing.
- Each request is charged at the rate published for that model on the Pricing page when the request is made, plus the fee published there for each web search or page fetch the request makes. Depending on the model, the rate is per token, per image, per character or second of audio, or per run.
- Before a request runs, an estimated maximum cost is reserved from your balance. When it finishes, the actual cost is charged and the rest of the reservation is released. A request can be refused when your balance cannot cover the reservation.
- A request that fails before any billable work is done is not charged. For example, a video job that fails is not charged, and an image that could not be retrieved is not charged. If a request stops after the model has already done billable work, such as a response that is cut off partway, the work done is charged.
- Regenerating an answer, or sending a request again, is a new request and is charged again.
- The cost shown while a response is in progress can be an estimate. The settled charge is what is taken from your balance.
- Your purchased balance does not expire. Promotional or affiliate credit can carry an expiry date, which is shown next to it in Settings > Billing.
- If you attach your own provider key (BYOK), requests sent with it are still charged from your Singular credit at the listed rate, and the provider may also charge your account with them.
- Rates can change. A change applies to requests made after it, never to requests already made.

Refunds
- Credit you have already spent is not refundable.
- You can ask for a refund of unspent credit from a top-up by writing to [Contact email]. We issue refunds ourselves, through the payment processor that took the payment. A refund is limited to the part of that top-up that has not already been refunded, and to the unspent balance at the time of the refund. The refunded amount is removed from your balance.
- The free sign-up credit and any promotional or affiliate credit are not refundable.
- If a payment is reversed or charged back through the payment processor, the matching credit is removed from your balance, and we may suspend the account, or the API key the credit was added to, while we look into it.
- Deleting your account ends access to any remaining balance and does not issue a refund automatically. Ask for a refund before you delete your account.
- Nothing in these terms takes away refund rights you have under consumer protection law.
API keys
Keep API keys secret and on a server. Anyone who has a key can spend the balance behind it, and you are responsible for that use. A key created in Settings starts with a zero balance. If a key leaks, revoke it in Settings > API keys. A key bought on the API's top-up page is not listed in Settings; to have it revoked, write to [Contact email]. We may revoke a key that is being used in breach of these terms.
Your own provider keys
If you attach a provider key in Settings > BYOK, you confirm that you are allowed to use it with Singular. The provider's own terms apply to requests sent with your key. We store the key encrypted and show only a masked version. Detaching it deletes the stored key; revoke it with the provider as well if you no longer use it.
Your content
Your content means what you put into the Service (prompts, files, recordings, instructions) and what the Service generates for you (answers, images, audio, video). As between you and us, you keep whatever rights you have in your content.
You allow us to store your content, process it, and send it to the model providers and infrastructure providers that serve your requests, only as needed to run the Service for you, keep it secure and meet our legal obligations. We do not use your content to train AI models.
You are responsible for having the rights to the content you submit. Generated content may be similar to content generated for others, and the model maker's terms may limit how some output can be used.
When you share a thread, anyone with the link can read the snapshot and copy it into their own account. You are responsible for what you share.
Acceptable use
Do not use the Service to:
- break the law, or infringe or misappropriate anyone else's rights;
- create, request or share sexual content involving minors;
- harass, threaten or defame anyone, encourage violence or self-harm, or create sexual or intimate imagery of a real person without their consent;
- impersonate a person or organization, or mislead people about whether content was generated by AI where that matters;
- write or spread malware, run phishing or fraud, or attack or gain unauthorized access to any system;
- send spam or other unsolicited bulk messages;
- get around rate limits, billing, metering, guardrails or other safety measures, or access another person's account or data;
- create several accounts to collect free credit more than once;
- share or resell access to your account or API keys, unless you are an approved reseller acting under its reseller terms;
- break the usage policies that the makers of the models you use publish for those models.
We may refuse requests, apply automated limits, and suspend or close accounts that break these rules.
Affiliate and reseller programs
If you join the affiliate program or are approved as a reseller, the program details shown in the app and any separate agreement we sign with you apply in addition to these terms.
AI output
Output is produced by AI models. It can be wrong, incomplete, out of date or offensive, and a citation does not guarantee that its source supports the answer. Output is not medical, legal, financial or other professional advice. Check it before you rely on it; you are responsible for how you use it.
Availability and changes
We work to keep the Service running, but it can be interrupted, slowed down or changed, and we may stop offering parts of it. Unless we agree otherwise in writing, there is no service level commitment.
Third-party services
The Service relies on third parties, including our authentication provider, our payment processor, and the model providers and infrastructure providers that serve requests. Their terms may also apply to you, and we are not responsible for services we do not control.
Suspension and termination
You can stop using the Service at any time, and delete your account if you have one. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if your use puts the Service or others at risk, or if the law requires it. Where it is reasonable and lawful, we will tell you why. Sections that by their nature should continue after termination, such as refunds, disclaimers and limits of liability, continue.
Disclaimers
To the fullest extent the law allows, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for all claims about the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event that gave rise to the claim. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
Indemnity
To the extent the law allows, you will defend and compensate us against claims and costs that arise from your content or from your breach of these terms.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by [Governing law]. Disputes are heard by [Courts that hear disputes], unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim there.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. If a change materially affects you, we will give notice in the app or by email before it takes effect. If you keep using the Service after a change takes effect, the updated terms apply.
